Feeling accurate and being accurate
are two different things.

I spent a long time in work where every number had to be verified before it could be used. I read people the same way — from the side of evidence and procedure.

A framework is not something to apply. It is something to interrogate. Check it for internal consistency, state how far it can be trusted, and where a figure is an approximation rather than a computation, say so in the text and not in a footnote. That is why the instruments here keep interrupting themselves to tell you what they are guessing at.

Feeling accurate and being accurate are two different things. What gets built here are the instruments that make the gap visible.
